JILL EMICH is the middle sister of triplet sisters! Yes, three sisters born on the same day, what a journey in life long lessons that is! Sharing the ownership of Shine Restaurant & Gathering Place with her two sisters. Jill runs the events, workshops and is the music director. She also created and manages the bar at Shine that includes potions, elixirs, spirits, and house brewed beer. She doubles as a teacher of business classes at Bauman Holistic Cooking College. She graduated from UNLV with a degree in Hotel Restaurant Management as well as from the California Academy in San Francisco with a degree in culinary arts.

She also owned Trilogy Restaurant and Wine Bar in Boulder for 9 years. She loves to dance, explore, and is constantly expanding her horizons. She loves to laugh and has a gift of seeing the upside in things. Jill enjoys bringing community together through fun and interesting workshops at Shine where she encourages people to dig deep and explore into their personal beings. To Shine from the heart . . .

RICARDO "RICO" CHANGEUX :: Born in Haiti, Rico came to the West Coast in 1984 where he lived in San Francisco until he was 23. Rico’s been dancing and performing hip-hop, R&B, jazz, and salsa, and studying martial arts & capoeira since he was living in Port-au-Prince.

While living in L.A. and San Francisco, Rico traveled and performed with Jesse Powel’s R&B worldwide tour, Dru Hill, and Pras from the Fugees. He danced with Culture Shock in San Francisco, and directed the Nike-sponsored company in Los Angeles.

After relocating to Denver in 2000, Rico has since performed at the AFL Crush and NBA Nuggets’ half-time performances, with Israel Vibrations, and M.C. Hammer. He also continued to choreograph for, and work with, various artists in L.A. while he transitioned to living in Colorado.

Currently, he is the founder and sole proprietor of Streetside Dance Studios in Boulder. In addition to teaching five classes a week, he also serves as a director for two performance troupes – one for children ages 5-9 and another for adults. Rico believes Streetside was built to serve the community and to provide all kinds of dancers with a safe space to train and grow. He enjoys working with dancers of all ages and capacities, and hopes to make everyone feel welcome at Streetside.

Rico gives back to the Colorado community through dance, choreography, performance and public speaking. Because of Rico’s commitment to education and dance, Streetside provides dance scholarships to students in need every quarter (based on their academic performance) and contributes free 10-class punch cards to auctions upon request. He’s made appearances and choreographed performances for groups such as: JRDF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), YMCA of Boulder County, Boulder Valley School District, Attention Homes, Make-a-Wish Foundation, CU-Boulder Freshman orientation, Broomfield Heights Middle School afterschool DANCE program, and Whittier Elementary in Denver (not a complete list).

Most recently, he was recognized as Boulder County’s 2011 Multicultural Award Winner (in the Arts field), and has been profiled in the Boulder Daily Camera and the Denver Post for his philanthropic work here and in Haiti.
